BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF Corynespora cassicola AND Drechslera tritici-repentis

چکیده
Chemical control is the most widely used method for disease management in significant crops such as soybeans and wheat. However, a few years biological has gained prominence. Thus, we evaluated antagonism of bacteria Pseudomonas fluorencens, Pantoea aglomerans, Bacillus sp. on phytopathogens Corynespora cassiicola Drechslera tritici-repentis, previously isolated from soybean wheat leaves, respectively. The experiments were carried out under controlled conditions at Phytobacteriology Laboratory Faculty Agronomy Veterinary Medicine (FAVM), University Passo Fundo (UPF), Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. treatments were: T1: P. Fluorencens + pathogen; T2: aglomerans T3: spp. pathogen, T4: pathogen (control). In each experiment (C. D. tritici-repentis), completely randomized design with six replications was used. data submitted to linear regression analysis, obtaining daily increase rate (slope). final time ANOVA, means compared by Tukey test (P < 0.05). fluorescens, agglomerans, reduced mycelial growth 74 87% C. Although this study vitro conditions, it can serve basis other studies, especially about leaf spots caused field conditions.

Simple Method to Produce in vitro Pyrenophora tritici-repentis Teleomorph
A fungus Pyrenophora tritici-repentis induces tan spot of wheat which is a foliar disease that causes yield loss to wheat crops worldwide. In this study, a new, simple and non-costly technique was performed to produce the sexual stage of this fungus in culture, within 9 weeks using wheat straw. This protocol will be helpful to researchers studying the biology of sexual stage development, diseas...
متن کاملNecrotrophic Effector Epistasis in the Pyrenophora tritici-repentis-Wheat Interaction
Pyrenophora tritici-repentis, the causal agent of tan spot disease of wheat, mediates disease by the production of host-selective toxins (HST). The known toxins are recognized in an 'inverse' gene-for-gene manner, where each is perceived by the product of a unique locus in the host and recognition leads to disease susceptibility. Given the importance of HSTs in disease development, we would pre...
متن کاملCharacterization of Pyrenophora tritici-repentis (Tan Spot of Wheat) Races in Baltic States and Romania
Tan spot, caused by the fungus Pyrenophora triticirepentis, is economically important foliar disease in Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania; however, race structure from Baltic States and Romania is not known. In this study, we performed genotypic and phenotypic race characterization of a large collection of P. triticirepentis isolates from these countries to determine race structure and utilize thi...
متن کاملChromosome-based molecular characterization of pathogenic and non-pathogenic wheat isolates of Pyrenophora tritici-repentis.
The ToxA gene of Pyrenophora tritici-repentis encodes a host-selective toxin (Ptr ToxA) that has been shown to confer pathogenicity when used to transform a non-pathogenic wheat isolate. Major karyotype polymorphisms between pathogenic and non-pathogenic strains, and to a lesser extent among pathogenic strains, and among non-pathogenic strains were identified. ToxA was localized to a 3.0 Mb chr...
